My core trait, being a people lover, it naturally aids me in both professions - a Real Estate Agent and Wellness Coach. Helping others comes naturally to me.
I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes in both my pregnancies. I was under the impression that it was temporary and will go away after delivery. I do have some family history related to Diabetes... but I wasn’t paying much attention and wasn’t being cautious with my weight etc. One fine day my doctor says, I have high sugar.
I did join gym, got on diet plans - on and off. Lost some weight and gained back later. This should resonate with a few of you. Doctors are always recommending medicines and I wasn’t mentally ready to put synthetic medicines in my body. I was always wondering how to go about taking care of myself...
Through a common friend, I was connected to this wellness community. They helped me with taking baby steps in lifestyle corrections, offering regular consultations and answering questions as and when I had them - related to food, exercises etc. The community also offered group activities, accountability coach and so many other supports. These small changes are easily adaptable in daily life activities and slowly it becomes part of our lifestyles. I got the belief and the confidence and saw some results. My sugar levels went down and was able to drop my weight as well.
Along the way, I was able to attract attention and questions from friends, family and clients. And today, I am proud to say, I have been helping my clients not just locally but practically anywhere in the world.
