my story
Growing up in a Bengali joint family, I have an eternal romance with mouth watering food. I have a background in classical dancing and inherited a green thumb and impressive culinary skills from my mother.
Healthy eating & nutrition actually caught my attention during my college days when my father suffered a heart attack and subsequently went through a bypass surgery. Only at that critical stage in his health, doctors finally recommended a combination of change in diet, cooking style & lifestyle choices.
I started focusing more on learning about health, yoga and clean eating. I saw the benefits of all these lifestyle changes when I went through a healthy pregnancy. But my trust in the value of a wellness lifestyle deepened when I got diagnosed with Hypertension last year. I was able to reverse it by losing 10kg of fat and became fit as a fiddle, well literally!
We need to put what we learn into practice and do it over and over again until it's a habit. A decade of believing in this cause made me understand that short term diet is not beneficial but the magic of long term lifestyle change prevails.
My motto in life is to educate people around me to pursue healthier choices and live disease free.
